Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 22, 2026
Orlando Minimally Invasive Surgery, P.A. ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when you visit orlandosurgery.com (the "Site") or interact with the Site's forms and contact features.
This policy applies to the Site only. Your protected health information (PHI) in your medical chart is governed by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and our separate Notice of Privacy Practices, which is provided to you at your first visit and available in our offices on request.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact form submissions. When you complete a consultation request or contact form on the Site, we collect the information you enter — typically name, phone number, email address, procedure of interest, and any message you provide.
- Phone and email contact. If you call or email us, we keep a record of that communication to follow up appropriately.
Do not submit protected health information through the Site. Site forms are not a secure channel for medical records, diagnoses, or detailed health histories. If you need to share that information, please call our office at (407) 605-3777 or use the patient portal we provide at the time of your first visit.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We use Fathom Analytics, a privacy-first, cookie-free analytics service. Fathom collects anonymized, aggregate visit data (pages viewed, referrer, country) without tracking individual users across sites and without setting persistent cookies.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) maintains standard access logs that include IP address, user agent, and request URL. These logs are used for security, performance monitoring, and abuse prevention.
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any cross-site advertising trackers on the Site.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry, schedule an appointment, or answer questions you submit.
- To follow up regarding scheduled procedures or other care-related communication.
- To maintain and improve the Site's reliability, security, and content.
- To comply with legal obligations (subpoenas, audits, regulatory inquiries).
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not share your information with marketing partners or data brokers.
Third-party services
The Site uses the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy practices:
- Form submissions: Forms submitted through the Site are processed by our practice management platform, which routes the inquiry to our intake team and stores it for follow-up. Information is treated as practice-internal data and is not used outside of patient-care purposes.
- Reviews: The reviews displayed on the Site are aggregated from Google and other public review sources via our reputation management platform.
- Hosting: The Site is hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare's privacy policy is available at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
- Embedded fonts: The Site loads fonts from Google Fonts. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
Cookies
The Site does not set cookies for analytics or advertising. Cookies that may be set by third-party embeds (review widget, form widget) are set by those services and are used to remember widget state or fill form fields. We do not read, use, or share those cookies.
Your choices
You can:
- Visit the Site without submitting any forms or contact information.
- Use your browser's privacy controls to block cookies from third-party embeds.
- Request a copy of any information we have on file from a Site form submission, or ask that we delete it, by contacting us at practicemanager@orlandosurgery.com.
Children's privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through Site forms. If you believe a child has submitted information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Florida residents
Florida law (the Florida Digital Bill of Rights, effective July 1, 2024) provides certain rights regarding personal information collected by businesses that meet the law's thresholds. Whether or not those thresholds apply to us, we honor access, correction, and deletion requests from any Florida resident. To exercise these rights, contact us at practicemanager@orlandosurgery.com.
Security
We use industry-standard technical safeguards (HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls in our practice management platform, regular security updates) to protect Site-collected information. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we encourage you to use the phone for any sensitive medical communication.
HIPAA — separate notice
As a healthcare provider, we comply with HIPAA and the related rules governing protected health information. Our Notice of Privacy Practices — which describes how we use and disclose your medical information — is a separate document provided to you in person at your first visit and available on request. Email practicemanager@orlandosurgery.com to receive a copy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the most recent change was made.
